The United States Miss Earth pageant is proud to announce that the city of Portland, Oregon will serve as the backdrop for the 2008 national competition. Known historically for its' awareness of environmental issues, Portland will host the delegates from July 4 to July 8 as they take part in numerous specially planned events that promote the protection and preservation of the earth.
