The United States Miss Earth pageant was held on August 1, 2007 in beautiful Portland, Oregon. Over the four-day event, delegates from around the country participated in specially planned activities to benefit the environment. A particular favorite of the delegates was time spent at the local mall where they distributed the official Miss Earth United States coloring book to Portland children. An optional non-judged event allowed the candidates to share their ideas and environmental accomplishments. But there was plenty of time for just having fun. Contestants dined at Portland's renowned Pinochio's restaurant, went kayaking on the Columbia River and admired Portland's spectacular views from its aerial tram.

The final night of onstage competition saw Miss Earth United States and her four Elements crowned. Lisa Forbes, Miss Earth United States 2007 will be traveling to Manila, Philippines to compete in the international Miss Earth competition. Good luck Lisa! We wish you well.
